Launcher: minimize application

Asked by Stubbles

I'm wondering if it would be possible to request a new functionality for the launcher. Here's my wish:

When an application
   1. has been started;
   2. has only 1 open window (visible in the launcher by 1 triangle to the left of the Application icon); and
   3. is the active window (visible in the launcher by 1 triangle to the right of the Application icon),
I would like it to minimize then application window when I click on the application icon in the launcher.

This does not seem to me to be complicated since, in its current state, nothing happens when I click the application icon in the launcher.

Use case:
The reason I am asking for this functionality is because I have a tendency/habit of using the mouse and the launcher to activate an application for just a second in order to visually confirm in a non-active window before return to the previously active application.

If this seems like a good idea, please let me know where I can submit such a new functionality.
Cheers,
Rob :-)

Hi ,

Thomas Krüger has right. Ideas should submitted through brainstorm.

If you search for a workaround on this "problem" here is one :

Thanks

...but I don't this is a new functionality since it already a standard way of doing things in other OSes so I have submtted it as a bug.
