Main menu not found in 12.04 LTS

I cannot find the main menu in my recently installed 12.04 LTS.
Any time I try to load it I have a message that "Main menu has closed unexpectedly" There is a prompt for me to report error which I have always done.

Hi Don,

you have expected bug on your maschine. I suggest you, that you reinstall your computer or try to search for your problem on internet. I did already search for it, but noone hasn't expected error like your's. All I get is this problem from another use, please take a read and this might help you a bit. Where is this 'main menu'? Do you mean Dash (Shows when you press SuperL (aka Windows key))?
