how do i make the gui look like the old one I dont like the new.

Asked by supportsage

I like having the old style menu and drop downs, I also like the ability to add programs to it without searching. This new system sucks. How do I operate the old way?

Hi there,

if you want to have older graphic interface like gnome 3 you can install it by running this three commands in terminal:

- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install gnome-shell

then you will have option in your login screen to choose gnome session instead of unity. If you have any issues with installing or if you want to read more about this change, you can everything read in this topic here: http://www.filiwiese.com/installing-gnome-on-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/

If this helps you solve your question, please mark thread as solved.

Regards,
Miha
