letters scramble after small lag, cannot read

Say i'm watching a youtube video and all of a sudden i get a little computer lag all the words all over the screen will scramble or parts of letters will be added on or taken away making the word unreadable in some cases, this also happens with the background but that can be fixed by refreshing the back ground by adding a new one and then replacing it with the old one.

I have the latest updates but i still do not know why this is happening it is very frustrating.

Please tell if, at user login, you switch to the ubuntu-2d (unity-2d) Desktop Environment, by pressing on the little circle icon near your user, do you still have same issue ?
