Many unity dialogs are unusable with a vertical resolution 576

Asked by davepc

I own a Dell Latitude 2100 with a screen resolution 1024x576. Its not a great netbook, but it is what I have at the moment.

Unity in general works well on it, however there are a number of system dialogs that are unusable because of the vertical resolution.

Here is a example, I want to write a review on software-center, so I click "Write your own review" link it brings up the review box which then loads the Ubuntu Single Sign On dialog. It promps me to register a new account with a "Set Up Account" button at the bottom. But I already have an account. I imagine that below that there is an "I already have an account" button - can someone with a "normal" resolution screen confirm this. But I cannot see this, I cannot shrink the size of the dialog, nor can I pull it up higher then the top bar. So the result is I cannot ever write a review!

So my qustion is, this is clearly a bug with the Single Sign On dialog, but it also occures in other places. Can I file one bug about all dialogs that are unusable at 576? Does Unity support this vertical resolution - I think it should. And can unity provide me with a way of using them - let me move them futher up the screen. As it is, I loose a number of pixles at the top with the status bar.

If you hold ALT you can drag from anywhere on the window and should be able to move it up

Can you help with this problem?
