Minimize, maximize, close default buttons...

Asked by John Robert Sampson

Microsoft Windows windows have buttons at the top right corner to make them full-size or not full-size.

In Ubuntu (current desktop) I think they are on the left but I can't see them.

Could someone describe them - which button does what?

As above. In fact, is there a description how the desktop differs from Microsoft Windows, starting from scratch?

Not sure about a description of all of the differences but the buttons are Close | Minimize | Maximize by default. I hope that helps!

Many thanks - this and a trip to the optician should have solved this problem.
