how to restore ubuntu launcher and top panel bar

I get a blank screen at boot up and cannot do any work. Can you please help me, Thanks

On the login screen, click the 'Ubuntu' button and reset to Unity 2D. 3D is not compatible with your video chipset. If you need to ask moer, please give much more information about your hardware.

Barry Thanks for your response, the problem is that when I boot up the machine it's just blank and I do not see any icons or top panel bar or even the launcher. I do not know what to do.

Hey! Barry, Thanks so much I manached to locate the 2D on the login screen and set the it. It worked perfectly. Thanks once again for your help

In the login screen, click your name then click the cog and change the session there, then log in
