battery indicator

I don't see my battery indicator in my upper panel (ubuntu 12.04) & at the same time my brightness adjustment bar disappear from the sistem setting (brightness and lock).

In the login session, the battery indicator is there in the top panel. But when i'm enter the user session (first i have to type unity --replace since my unity is having problem & i'm doing this each time i turn on my laptop), the battery indicator is gone.. just bluetooth, internet, mail, volume, date, my name, and power icon.
