12.04 doesnt open applications

Asked by Dylan Lowther

When i log in to 12.04 i can see all the apps, however, when i hover over them, the icon pops up (telling me what the app is) and never goes away. Also, when i click on the app to open, it seems to open, meaning i can see the name of the app in the top bar, along with the file edit and view options, but i cant actually see the app. when i click on file edit or view, again, i cant see any options. When i log in under ubuntu 2d, everything works fine, but im trying to figure out what could be causing this?

Maybe your hardware can't handle 3D and the desktop effects of Gnome3+Unity. If the problem persists and your apps crash please consider submitting a bug report of this.

Can you help with this problem?
