previous problem

i recently was having many problems with 11.10, it was recommended that i d/l and install precise 12.04, which fixed most of my problems.

the 1 thing that started with 11.10 is when doing anything besides looking at desktop screen flashes to black erradically when moving cursor even when not moving mouse like it is getting ready to go to screensaver.

which is another option i don't seem to have, and screen is constantly locking requiring password
how can i fix it ?

i started using ubuntu with 9.04 never had this issue

could it be a hardware problem such as graphics card ?

Please switch to unity-2d you can do it before user login (if you have not autologin for your user) click on the icon circle near your user login and choose...
