After Alt+F4 I lost my Launcher. Reboot didn't help.

Asked by Zoran kucanda

Launcher doesn't exist any more .

There is a menu on the top but no Clck, icons etc.

Previous Linux installation doesn't work.

It's possible to open Help.

folders (from a menu).

Even Firefox (from Help).

But Ubuntu is useless.

Sorry. It's Ubuntu Studio 11.10. By global menu I mean a menu which is on the top of the desktop. It'a a desktop menu (File Edit View Go Bookmark Help).

I didn't solve the problem. Terminal [unity & disown] did nothing. Everything was as before. No menu icons, no Launcher.
I installed Avant Window Navigator to make Ubuntu usable. Now I'm using AWN in stead of Launcher. I will remove a menu as well.
