Side dock does not load. Nor do the 4 work spaces instead its simply like 2 sides of a panel.

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 and had been playing with the compiz settings. I apparently hit the wrong thing because now the sidebar dock has been disabled making it difficult to access the compiz settings and undo whatever I did. If anyone could provide some assistance it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
