Asked by D Rose

I am booting Ubuntu on a 8GB flash drive. Everything works fine but I can not get the background wallpaper to save. Once rebooted it returns to the default purple screen. Any ideas??

Which version of Ubuntu are you using (and which user interface) ?
Did you made a persistent area in USB flash ?

New to Ubuntu but using Ver 11.10 and yes I made about a 4 GB area. Using it on a ACER Netbook that has a flaky HD.

i read somewhere a while ago that setting persistence above 2 gig won't work. try reinstalling and setting persistence to 2 gigs.

Do you have persistence with the key (files added in desktop remain in it after reboot) ?
Do you use a normal account or a guest account ?

Can you help with this problem?
