How can I get unity launcher icons smaller ?

I have Pentium 4 processor 2.66MHz CPU 1GB RAM with Intel 82810 E-DC-133 Chipset Graphics controller (VGA), running Ubuntu 11.10 Unity. My Unity launcher shows bigger icons. Once I used Cairo Dock and it was showing smaller and cute icons and more graphics. How can I get this Unity launcher that way smaller and cute ? Pl inform me if there is a way to do so.

Do this:
1. Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T
2. Insert and run this commands:
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
ccsm --plugin=unityshell

3. Change what you want.

The graphical way to run this program is:
click on dash and search for 'compiz' then click on 'Ubuntu Unity Plugin'

I have reduced the icon size to 30 in CCSM but the icons are still showing the same old size in the Unity launcher. The other changes I have made have taken place. Pl suggest what to do still.

Does one really have to reboot? The help information which appears if on types "help" in the dash says "Your changes to the size of the icons will be applied immediately. " I spent a lot of time trying to do this using ccsm and some other utilities, but nothing worked. Changing tileSize in /usr/share/unity-2d/launcher/LauncherList.qml did make a difference. To make this change take effect I have to re-start unity-2d-launcer. (Seems it's restarted automatically if I kill it, but only the first time, the second time I have to re-start it manually).
