Possible Bug with Unity Launcher Sidebar

Asked by Neal Gamradt

After a fresh login or restart, when I right-click on any of my icons in the sidebar/launcher on the left, I cannot interact at all with the menu bubble that is displayed. I have to randomly click around a bit to get the menu to go away, then when I right-click again on any of them, everything works as normal and I can interact without issue.

It appears to me something is wrong with Unity when it first initializes, is anyone else having this issue?

System Information:

Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.53GHz × 4

Graphics : Intel Ironlake Mobile x86/MMX/SSE2

Using Unity 3D

This was an upgrade from 11.04, not a fresh install.

the developers have marked the bug as low priority, which means it probably won't ever get fixed.

Do we know when the updated Unity will be released with this bug fix? Do they have a release schedule, or just when they feel there are enough bugs fixed that warrants a release?

Can you help with this problem?
