unity unable to use administration
Unable to find administration menu since upgrading to 11.1 ? I have tried logging in with gnome and gnome classic, but the 'menu bar' is 'grayed' ? Have tried reading the 'help' notes but just go in circles always wind-up hours spent with NO answers.
I am not a geek ----- but until "UNITY" Ubuntu always just worked for me,
IF this was my first venture away from 'M.S. Windows' . . . . this would convince me to stay with "M.S. Windows" !
What is all this Libre stuff ? Open Office always worked good for me, or maybe these problems with unity
tend to blacken my view of all the changes to what I thought "WAS a very good system" ?
I have spent too many hours trying to figure out the "NEW UBUNTU" with not one answer found.
For me as an 'untrained user' this fiascal is a thousand times worse than MS going from XP to Vista !
I have been trying to convince friends to change from windows to Ubuntu....... what a fool I have made of myself !
NOT only is this unacceptable, This makes me want to throw my computer at the wall from frustration !
MAYBE I am an idiot ? BUT it seems many others are having a "V I S T A" 'moment' with this also.
I did the 'upgrade' (? DIVE ?) Then I tried using the 'live cd' to see if the upgrade had a problem, nope, both same.
WHY ? Did they have to destroy a good system for this mess ?
Someday I may be able to add and subtract programs and app.s and such using terminal, then maybe I could adjust any system to my liking.
BUT I H A D found Ubuntu simple and intuitive and was suggesting it to friends . . . . N O W ? ? ?
Sorry for the complaining but in my opinion : Ubuntu went from Great to completely UN-usable AND UN-acceptable !
Have no desire to go to terminal and put in pages of code words for what ?
It used to work NOW it is a geek toy....
