How to launch application in Ubuntu 11.10

I have install Ubuntu 11.10 and then chrome browser but unable to find its launcher (Like program files in windows).
Pls help me in detail where i will get it.
Also i am unable to find shortcut for my all other applications.

Press SuperL (also known as 'Windows key') and type:

google

it will appear and you can click it to run it. When it appears in the Unity launcher, right click it and click to keep it in the launcher

go to dash home>Internet Apps>Installed if it is visible here fine you can drag and put to launcher if it is not visible then click see more results in the same window ie installed apps and you should find it there that you can drag and put to launcher..
We are still learning but will come out successfully in new kernel also.
