Keyboard shortcuts to panel menus

Asked by Audun Wangen

I'd really like a keyboard shortcuts to access all the menus in the panel, like the power, network, sound and me menus. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Posted this at Ubuntu Brainstorm as well, but apparently it's not an idea. Ref: http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/28720/

Which GUI are you using: the old Gnome 2.3 (Ubuntu Classical) or Unity (with a left side launcher) ?

I use Unity. I guess this applies to Gnome classic as well though.

Have a look at System settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts.

Shortcuts in the System settings menu have no predefined shortcuts to access the panel menus, but perhaps a custom shortcut would do? Anyone know the command to open a panel menu?

Soulstjerne I reporter this as a bug? It's still not resolved, as far as I know.
