Asked by marcus aurelius

whenever i search for a file in dash, the results appears under the label Files & Folders.
anyone know a way of getting rid of this label and replacing it with the actual location the file is stored at?

Unfortunately, the Unity dash does not offer that kind of customizability. You might prefer to search in Nautilus (the file browser), which does offer that information, and in a way very much like you are describing wanting. To do that, open a Nautilus window, and press Ctrl+F (or go to Go > Search for Files...).

(Sorry, I should have called it the Unity launcher, which is more correct.)

(The package "dash" is actually the Debian Almquist SHell, and not part of any graphical user interface. It provide /bin/sh in Ubuntu.)

Can you help with this problem?
