possible bugs in version 11.10

Hello,
I have just updated to version 11.10 and have come across the following problems which may be bugs or maybe me not understanding the new version correctly.
1. In System settings - appearance.
In the options box, Ambiance is okay. Radiance is okay. If you select either High Contrast or High contrast Inverse, the main screen header bar is pushed to the right so you can no longer see the star button on the far right which gives you access to settings. The button is still there but you have to move your mouse cursor virtually off screen to select it.
2. I have separate profiles for myself and my wife on my system. if I logout back to the main login screen there appear to be two problems.
A. The text on the options bar at the top of the screen is so minute it is hardly readable. There does not seem to be a way I can find to change the screen settings for this screen to make the option bar text larger. Tried screen settings but this does not effect the login screen setting. How do I change the settings for the text bar here?
B. If I try to logout of the system from the initial login screen, once you give the logout command a box appears asking you to confirm shut down. When you click to confirm shutdown nothing happens. I have to log back in to my profile and fully log out of the system from there. Is this a bug or is my upgrade corrupted, if so how do I fix it?
