I inadvertently removed plugins for desktop wall under compiz settings and consequently lost the launcher (left side of desktop) and the top panel

No longer have a launcher (11.04) or top panel after disabled plugins for the 'desktop wall'.
Am new to natty and am at a loss.

If you haven't fixed -
log into Ubuntu, no matter that unity doesn't start
open a terminal any way you can, Ctrl+Alt+T should work, run this command (copy and paste into terminal if desired
unity --reset

Wait until the unity panel ect. reappear, when they do don't close the terminal
Instead just click on the power button in top right corner, log out and then in, you'll be fine
