Tasks bar and start menu does not appear

After i have finished with the upgrading of my Ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 11.04, the Task bar and the Start menu are no more showing.

How can i access these because I need them to use to fully utilise the PC.

this is normal, ubuntu uses a new default interface: unity.
If you want to continue using the old interface you must select "Ubuntu Classic"at the bottom of the login screen (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/_media/utilisateurs/alexandrep/unity-selection.png?cache=).
