Launcher for Ubuntu 11.04
when i updated to ubuntu 11.4 everything seemed to go well except i cant seem to be able to use the new lancher, the dash, or workspaces. It still has the same top left applications places and system from 10.10. any suggestions?
after speaking to actionparsnip he recommended that i run
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
after running this and rebooting the loading screens were enlarged and when i opened up the Ubuntu Session the top and bottom bars were gone so i was unable to click on anything. any suggestions?
(current conversation i had with actionparsnip )
actionparsnip:
You will need to remove the nvidia driver, reboot, then install the driver using the command you stated then reboot
Myself:
how do i remove the nvidia driver?
actionparsnip:
sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia-current; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove
Should do it
Myself:
I used
sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia-current; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove
i am now operating on the Ubuntu Session. but the new updates for launcher dash and workspaces arnt there.
do i need to reinstall nvidia?
actionparsnip:
after removing it, did you reboot?
myself:
yes then logged into Ubuntu session and it was working the same as Ubuntu Classic
any suggestions?
