Launcher does not show

Recently, I had installed the Ubuntu program on my computer. However, when I logged in, there is no sign of the launcher at all. The settings for the launch pad only gives me the option of showing the launcher when I push it to the left edge of the screen or when I touch the top left corner of the screen. But in the first place, launcher is not there at all! I tried to reinstall Ubuntu, but it still did not show the launcher... HELP T.T (I am using Ubuntu 11.04)

install compizonfig-settings-manager then run:

ccsm

Enable the unity plugin

i need help with 11.04 the installation went well but when i reboot the only icon i saw was the one i had on my desktop and it was flashing and i am not able to login. can you help with this please
