login screen configuration through command line

Asked by Raul Perez

I finished Installing 11.04 for the first time. I got an option that asked if i wanted a login screen or auto-login. I opted for auto-login. Afterwards I got a "Do not have right hardware to run Unity, please select the Classic Desktop" or something along those lines. The problems is I never got the login screen, because I already opted for auto-login. And then the Unity desktop finishes loading, but it's unusable. I can see the menus and my mouse, but drop downs quickly disappear before i make a selection.

Is there a way to change to classic view or switch the login screen back on by editing a config file through the command line? Is there another way to get to the login screen back without going through the desktop menus?

thanks
