how to add smth. on top panel? 11.04

-How to add something on top panel? Sensors or any button?
-How to get back top panel of 10.10?
 In new version - we have "file, edit ..." of active window on top (main) panel... how to get back old panels? ((

when you log on, click your logon name, and on the bottom of the screen, click, i believe it says unity, and select classic or gnome. 11.04 doesn't work on my system so i can't give you the exact steps, but what i've given you should work.

unity is a horrible interface. i think this is the testing ground for canonical's mobile device implementation
