just upgraded to 11.04 and lost the top "headings" that list the Applications & etc. Everything is working OK--just cannot see the top or bottom lines of the screen.

just upgraded to 11.04 last night and lost the top "headings" on my screen. The one top line that includes the Applications and etc
plus the bottom line . Everything is working OK but can not figure what setting got removed--need way to re-set whatever got dropped or changed.

You are seeing the new "unity" interface, which no longer has an upper panel

If you want to go back to the gnome interface, at the bottom of the screen when you log in (after selecting your username), you should have the "classic desktop" option. Use that.
