If the general guidelines below don't enable you to solve your problem then please post a reply with specific information about exactly what you downloaded and installed, and how you downloaded and installed it.

Generally speaking, you can browse through installed programs by pressing the "Windows" key on your keyboard. You can search for installed programs by pressing Alt+F2 and typing in part of the name. If you know the complete name for the executable, you can type that in and press enter and it should run.

Once a program is running, you can pin it to the dock (so it remains there even once it's no longer running, for easy launching) by right-clicking on its entry in the dock (it will be there when it's running) and clicking "Keep in Launcher" (then when you right-click on it again you should see a check mark next to "Keep in Launcher").

It seems that the manual (http://media.codeweavers.com/pub/crossover/docs/en/userguide-crossover-games-linux.pdf) explains what to do when you are not able to run the software from menus (either because you don't have menus, or because you do but it doesn't appear).

After attempting to work from that source, if you are still unable to get it to work, please feel free to post another reply requesting further assistance.

Same here: did not see anything remotely connected to Crossover after fresh install (on Ubuntu Natty Narwhal). Being new to Crossover, I had never heard about "bottles" (not clear what that is, but at least I did find the Manage Bottles icon).

Very confusing if you never used Crossover before.
