Top Panel drop shadow not there as advertised

Binary package hint: unity

As last release notes state the drop shadow for the top panel should return.
However I have 3 machines running natty, updated to latest and neither shows shadow

I'll try with a question first, maybe some compiz setting is just not reset correctly?

Yes it is compiz but why not come up to speed with ubuntu?

It should help enabling png support via ccsm ... :)
