Is there a way to test Unity in Natty Alpha 2 LiveCD?

Asked by Roman Polach

Is there a way to test Unity in Natty Alpha 2 LiveCD?

I have booted LiveCD and the desktop environment is classic gnome2
(almost, there is a global menu on top panel).
When I tried to install proprietary NVidia drivers and then logout,
system hangs completely.

Well Alpha2 was just released.
Wait and see what updates do. At the moment there're some issues with X, crashes with compiz, kernel doesn't boot and so on.

I tested it on another machine with radeon hd4350.
This worked ok with default free driver.

Yep, same graphic card here and no issues. :-)
Regarding proprietary Nvidia maybe try on CLI Xorg -configure.
