Support for other music players in unity-lens-music

I use rhythmbox as my primary Music Player. Not that banshee isn't good or anything, but just a matter of habit. Are there any plans to use alternative music players instead of just banshee alone?

I think that it will be supported, because there is a branch about this that was approved:
