Karmic support for unionfs

Is unionfs supported on Karmic? I couldn't find any relevant packages. I don't want to use the fuse implementation. Thanks

Everything I've seen on this basically says that if you want it in the kernel, you'll have to build it yourself. Here are some tutorials I found, they're a little old, but hopefully still useful:
