Does UFW support SCTP? How are SCTP ports managed?

Asked by Aminda Suomalainen

I have used UFW for a very long time and like how easy it is to allow and deny access to specific ports, but the manual page only mentions TCP and UDP and those are the only kinds of ports I have used, but I am planning to start using SCTP as it's supported by Charybdis IRCd and will make linking over VPN more easy and possibly more stable.

Does UFW support SCTP? If it does, how do I allow/deny/reject SCTP ports? Why doesn't the manual page mention them at all?

All I can see is to use iptables directly rather than UFW. Seems the protocol isn't supported (yet). You could report a bug
