What to install - New to all of this

Hi,
    I'm new to all of this, I have downloaded Ubuntu Studio and the LTS, do I install the LTS version first then Studio or is Studio a full OS on it's own ??

I know this sounds dumb but ....

Ubuntu Studio 10.04 and Ubuntu 10.04 are separate Linux distributions that can be installed independently (or side by side).

Ubuntu Studio 10.04 can be installed WITHOUT installing Ubuntu 10.04.
