need Carbonite-like cloud system back up that works with Ubuntu

We'd like to utilize a Carbonite-like, cloud, system back-up as opposed to buying an external hard drive. Carbonite says their system won't work with Ubuntu. Sure is a great price. Wish it would. Is there any cloud back up service that DOES work with Ubuntu?

If so, and if it's more than a simple link to follow, please be specific with your instructions.

Hope you can help. Our PC is a senior citizen in the world of computers.
