Ubuntu One syncs nothing

Asked by Daniel B. Hankins

System: Windows XP laptop, up-to-date

Installed Ubuntu One and added folders. A day later, 0 bytes have been synced, even though the folders I added contain files. What am I doing wrong? One of the folders I added was "My Documents\backups" which contains a file named "20111227 ipaq SD card.zip". That zip file is 300 megs.

Are all other files syncing except that one file?
can you verify what version of the ubuntu one for windows you are using?
https://one.ubuntu.com/downloads/windows/install/

possibly reinstall.

No, that file was just an example to demonstrate that I had something to sync.

The version of ubuntuone-installer-qt.exe is 2.0.1

Additional info: whenever I start Ubuntu One from the desktop icon, it reports that a new version is available and asks if I'd like to upgrade. When I click "Yes," nothing happens.

can you please attempt to uninstall the windows ubuntu one and reinstall the newer version?

Can you help with this problem?
