Ubuntu 8.04 are Ubuntu 8.10 are end-of-life.

I recommend performing a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, which is supported until April 2017.

No as theybare no longer supported or developed. I suggest you remove those releases and reinstall with a clean install of Precise. It is LTS and supported til April 2017

Excuse me please, I made a mistake.
I mean wallpapers "from" from this releases, not "for".

I believe omgubuntu has an archive of the old wallpapers, or try a web image search....

Yes, I found it on web.
But its more easy download all wallpapers with apt-get install ubuntu-wallpapers-*
