The software is updated
However, Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS is available (you have 22.04.)
If you upgrade and have an old pc Disaster. I know.
Why isn't this prompt gone for old PCs!
My Old pc , without Uefi , Need a test about Uefi before installation.
=======
2024-11-12
NOTE NOTE
Uefi Should be changed to MBR
If MBR don't try to upgrade….
=======
My experience 22.04, 24.04
Can't get 24.04 to work, lots of mess, so I've done a clean install of 22.04 and looked at the log. Sorry is available.
In today's log extract, lots of errors 22.04
Parts around warnings, note not all in the log
Surely a log should not contain so many problems after a clean installation

Note This is how the partitioning has looked since about 6-7 years ago.
NOTE It is an MBR installation, Maybe that's why I never managed to install in this pc with 24.04.1
Below from the net !!
Found below today, too bad I didn't find it sooner.
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Installation.
Before using UEFI, the disk partition style must be set to GPT.
Can't send the partition image.
Sorry
2 partitions
38 GB / ext4
74 GB / home ext4
Do you want me to try to upgrade 22.04.5 LTS to 24.04.1 as upgrade wants, I can do it if you take care of the crash dumps my last attempt to make a bug report come mail back invalid, all previous attempts you have already received all the dumps.
But for the sake of the good cause, I can do it again
Just get in touch at e.g. Mail
Hi If any of you are interested about my musings on SNAP, which seems to be constructed incorrectly.

Hi Manfred
Sorry It was exactly the 3-4 variants that I tried, none of them worked
I think it depends on GPT, I have MBR
My mistake, just looked in my other PC, U-24.04.1 Uefi,GPT,
The sorry message is included
The log is from 31/10-05/11 Sorry 39 times,
Disaster soup in the log.
