Upgrade from Ubuntu 15.10 to Ubuntu 16.04 has failed

Hi,

I made a mistake while updating the system - the update went fine until the postgreSQL message appeared ( Obsolete major version 9.4 - I need to install 9.5). Instead of pressing the OK button I've decided to copy the message and paste it to google for accurate answer. So I'd pressed CTRL+C buttons what resulted the end of the process.

Can I do something different than reinstalling the system?

Problem SOLVED:
-reboot system run console while being on choosing user screen sudo apt-get update and follow the tips.
