upgrade to 16.04 fails

Asked by will on 2016-04-12

When I try to upgarde from 15.10 to 16.04 beta2.
I'm completly up-to-date and do the upgrade in terminal by:
sudo do-release-upgrade -d

I get the following error message:
Error during update

A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of
network problem, please check your network connection and retry.

cd $HOME
wget https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8850924/fixpackage
chmod +x ./fixpackage
sudo ./fixpackage

hope that helps.

No, still the same issue.

Actually, I already played with apt-get clean and rm -Rf /var/lib/apt/*.

Try the central repository server instead of the German one, or any other on in your vicinity (German universities etc.)
