take 14.10 off and give me 14.04

14.10 got loaded onto my machine. Tell me how to get it off and how to go back to 14.04.

The way to do what you want, is to clear off 14.10. Make a new clean install of 14.04. Be sure to backup anything important.

You cannot dowgrade without clean installation from CD / USB.
You can restore your user data from your backups
