Why is there no screen savers in 12.10

Well I have un checked the spot which is to stop blanking the screen and it still does it . . WHY . . And why is there NO SCREEN SAVERS ? . . Who thought that was a good Ideal ? Even Windblows has them in W 8 crap ! So how about putting them back in I have tried the Xscreensaver I have toopen it and tell it not to blank the screen or lock it EVERY TIME . . Seems system log is not working right as I get a error message when I start Firestarter up saying can't edit and so information is there . . And it also does not show in the Systen Tray . . Seems to be a weird connection between System Tray and System log . . is there a file to edit or change to get it back to working right wirh 12.10

Why are you starting firestarter? Its just a GUI for iptables which is a service. You do not need firestarter running to have the firewall active, it is active even before you log in.

There are times when at the library I get MS trying to jack with my fire wall and I go back up their router and screw with them the fire wall tells me the numbers and who it is trying to screw with my Laptop
That is why I start Firestarter and the icon turns RED when someone is testing my fire wall now and then I get test from differetnt repositoies of Ubuntu when I am adding programs or updating . . If it is not started where is the warnong of a attempt to cross the line ?

Getting this on installing this Screen saver . . Always has worked before !
