12.04 startup

Asked by Daniel Esquivel

Hi i'm new using ubuntu. Installed Fresh ubuntu 12.04 on my nb200 toshiba and works fine but it takes more than 3 minutes to start up. I removed xp, previously on my machine and only Ubuntu is working. It has 2gb ram, 120 gb hd and 1ghz processor. I'd really appreciate your help.

If you reboot and log in, then run:

dmesg > ~/dmesg.txt; lsb_release -a >> ~/dmesg.txt; uname -a >> ~/dmesg.txt
gedit ~/dmesg.txt

What is in the file (it will be a lot but there is no limit here).
