Hi ,
So , now you have 12.04 and you want the same environment as 10.04 ?

Well , is not exactly the same but a kind of ... open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and run this command

sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback

after the installation finish , logout and select from the login screen the "Gnome Classic" session . See 2 pictures below on how to do this:

2) http://imagebin.ubuntu-gr.org/1349958632.png

Now if you want to configure the panels , just hit [Alt]+[Super]+right click on the panel and set the options - applications ..etc you want.

See a good tutorial about the functions - tips - tricks , here => http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1966370

Thanks
