The best way to learn program is to do it.

Let us know what language you want to program in and what sort of programs you want to write.

We will let you know what tools you need, if any, and how to install them.

We can also suggest books or websites to get you started.

Hello Warren

I do not have any idea what kind of programing language should we need ? it is only need to write for a new documentation system. I can only draw and tell you what it is and how it works.

i will be glad if you tell me which design programs convenient and useful for linux ubuntu interface design. if is there a program which can replace the icons it will very useful for me. i have downloaded 2 programs which are, QTfor designer, Glade interface design... i did not understand them.

let me to know where should i start

i can use Adobe = PS,Ai,FL,inD

Thank you for help.

I suggest you use Python, it is very well documented. You may find some Pyton forums and beinner guides. Start with hello world programs and such to learn the basics and build up

Take a look at quickly see here

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Quickly

It uses python as the programming language and glade to design the graphical elements of the user interface. There are lots of tutorials around and you should be able to get something simple working quickly to demonstrate Menus, Toolbars etc.
