Ubuntu 12.04 is not acceptable

Asked by MPierce

I allowed my system to accept an upgrade to 12.04 about one week ago. Since then, my PC has been painfully slow, nearly unresponsive, and I cannot find any means of running applications other than those few connected to the Launcher. This update has resulted in the end of my relationship with Ubuntu and rest assured that I will spread the word that 10.04 was the end of life for this O/S.

Now I have to find a means of wiping the disk in preparation for a better linux variety.

What prompted the destruction of a workable, friendly system?

Goodbye!

Have you tried a clean install of Precise instead of an upgrade. You'll probably find it is a lot better.

Its not destroyed. It runs fine here as does Quantal (Ubuntu 12.10).

Can you help with this problem?
