Add .ttf fonts to Ubuntu 12.04

Asked by rkcarney

I have a whole lot of fonts on my Windows 7 section that I would like to have available on my Ubuntu 12.04 section. What is the best way to transfer these fonts to Ubuntu?

actionparsnip,
This worked for 10.04 ( I used it with that distro) but does not function with 12.04.
Luky,
Thanks for that thread but it seems to be going nowhere.

It seems that no thought was given to this problem when the distro was contsructed.

Back once more into the arms of Mr. Gates.

love and peace rk.

Lucid isn't a different distro, it's Ubuntu just like 12.04. It's just an earlier release.

So you are switching OS for the sake of some fonts which can easily be added but 1 user from the whole community didn't hit the nail on the head first time!? Can't you see how pathetic that is?

Wow! I'm completely blown away....seriously?

Can you help with this problem?
