New to ubuntu, need tutorial and help

There was no windows compatibility when i received it.

Was able to get updates previously, although i could not dowload anthing outside of unbuntu software.

Now i can't open up the ubuntu software center.

How can i become windows compatible. I installed google chrome...could that be part of the problem?

This is a refurbished computer.

I can't open documents when I check my email. keeps say archive error....something like that

Is there a tutorial for new users to ubuntu? Please Help!!!

The OS is called Ubuntu, not Unbuntu.

Can you give the output of:

sudo apt-get update

Copy the command and press CTRL+ALT+T
Paste the command to the temrinal and hit ENTER
Copy the output and paste here as an update
