Change Deafult Locations of Documents, Videos ect

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 and would like to know how do you change the video's, music and doument folders etc., sitting under your home directory to another location. Thanks.

If you create a symbolic link to the new location into the home folder, your OS will still show the folders in your home folder but the true storage location will be in the new location.
