Ubuntu for gamers

Asked by Piotr Filipek

Dear Canonical.
Why You do not want to talk with other companies about applications and games. If you want more and more users, you have to give more entertainment. I mean, Canonical should encourage to creating software for Ubuntu like Apple it do.

Firstly, I would like to point out that this forum is not the place for complaints to Canonical, it is designed for so that those having technical issues with Ubuntu can ask questions, and get them answered by the community. Secondly Steam is coming to ubuntu this year, so many games will be available to play. The lack of software for Ubuntu and linux is not Canonicals fault, they are constantly trying to get more companies to create compatible software, however many big companies are only interested in apple and microsoft, for software available for these try using wine (If you don't already know this is a application available in the software center for running windows applications on linux), or if that fails, use a virtualbox.
